Fire District

The Williamstown Fire District is an independent government entity created by Chapters 69 and 598 of the Acts of 1912 (PDF) by the state legislature and modified in 1948 and 1988. The District has its own government and its own taxing authority separate and apart From the Town of Williamstown.

Prudential Committee


The District is governed by the 3-member Prudential Committee elected at the District's annual meeting on the 4th Tuesday in May.
