Non-essential Outdoor Water Use Ban

The Town of Williamstown as per conditions set forth in its water withdrawal permit issued by M.A. D.E.P., hereby institute a non-essential outdoor water use restriction immediately.

The outdoor use restriction is between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily.

This means non-essential outdoor water use may only be done after 5 p.m. and before 9 a.m.

Any outdoor watering between these hours will be by handheld hose only.

Watering may be done at golf courses and athletic fields as they are essential to business functions.

The Town will post the lifting of these restrictions when the streamflow conditions support nonessential outdoor water use.
