Council on Aging Daily Update

Update, Monday February 8th, 2021

Message from the Berkshire County Boards of Health curated for clarity by yours truly of course.

Registration for two large previously-unannounced COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics will go public today. (Monday) at 12:00 noon. These clinics are for those 75 and older, or those who were eligible in Phase 1 (health-care workers, home health workers, first responders or those who work or live in congregate care). These clinics will be offering the Pfizer vaccine and will be at Berkshire Community College on Wednesday 2/10 & Saturday 2/13. Spots also remain in clinics in North Adams on 2/8 and 2/12, and in Great Barrington on 2/10 and 2/13. More appointments will likely be added during the week. The push in Berkshire is to get our 75-year-olds vaccinated so we can move on to the next group.

Anyone who has trouble registering can call their local council on aging or dial the state’s new registration hotline at 211 for assistance

The number for the Williamstown Council on Aging is 413.458.8250

Everyone will be expected to show proof of eligibility upon their arrival at the clinic.Bring your license or photo identification showing your birthdate and residence-it’s a Massachusetts clinic after all.

You can go to www.getvaccinatedberkshires.org for a link to registration, or they can go directly to www.maimmunizations.org and scroll down until they find the clinic. The search function at www.maimmunizations.org is kind of finicky, so best to scroll down rather than search

Oh. Note the bold print above. This is a “Heads Up” update. Registration starts at noon. That’s 12:00 today, not before. OK?
