2026 Nomination Papers Available

January 29, 2026

Nomination papers for elected offices in the Town of Williamstown are now available in the Town Clerk’s office.

At the May 12, 2026, Annual Town Election, voters will choose candidates for several town offices:

Select Board: 3 seats
- 2 seats for three-year terms
- 1 seat to fill the remaining one year of a three-year term

Library Trustees: 2 seats
- Each for a three-year term

Housing Authority: 1 seat
- Five-year term

Planning Board: 1 seat
- Five-year term

Candidates seeking to run for office must stop by Town Clerk Nicole Beverly’s Office to pick up nomination papers. Thirty (30) signatures are required. All signatures must be ink signatures; no electronic signatures are allowed.

Completed nomination papers must be returned to the Board of Registrars for certification no later than Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Questions regarding running for town office can be addressed by reaching out to the Town Clerk’s Office at nbeverly@williamstownma.gov or (413) 217-0356.

Clerk’s Office – Limited Hours Notice

January 29, 2026

The Clerk’s Office will operate on limited hours Wednesday–Friday, February 4–6. The office will open from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and close each afternoon.

Snow Removal Plans

January 28, 2026

Highway Department crews will be out late Thursday into early Friday morning removing more snow from Spring Street and other areas in town.

Town Hall Closed and Select Board Meeting Cancelled

Due to the snowstorm, Town Hall offices are closed and the Select Board Meeting is cancelled today, January 26, 2026.
