To use the Williamstown Transfer Station for trash disposal, recycling, or composting, residents must have an annual Transfer Station Permit sticker displayed on their vehicle. Trash disposal also requires Trash Bag Tags. Most recycling and composting services are included at no additional cost.
A Transfer Station Permit allows you to recycle, compost, and dispose of trash (with required Trash Bag Tags).
How to purchase a permit sticker:
One tag must be displayed on each 15-gallon bag of trash. For bags larger than 15 gallons, two tags must be displayed.
Trash Bag Tags cost $2 each and are sold sheets of five for $10. The tags can be purchased at:
Residents with a Transfer Station Permit may drop off most paper and recyclable containers at no charge. Some items, such as demolition materials, TVs, computers, and other items, require a fee. For a full list of accepted materials and fees, please review the current Transfer Station Guidelines.
Residents with a Transfer Station Permit may drop off food waste at no additional cost, including fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat, and bones.
