Main Street Bridge Project Update

The Main Street bridge over Hemlock Brook has been reconstructed by MassDOT and is re-opened to traffic. In the Spring, plantings will be installed, and some minor items will be buttoned up. Current completion date is May 20, 2026.

Five Corners Roundabout Project

This MassDOT project converted the stop-controlled intersection of Route 7 and Route 43 to a roundabout. Much of the work on this project is complete and will continue in the Spring.

Williamstown Rodenticide Policy

As per this new policy, use of certain pesticides known as second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs) will be avoided on town-owned property. These chemicals can harm owls, hawks, and other wildlife, as well as some domestic animals that feed on poisoned rodents.
