Choose 100% Clean Electricity Today

Williamstown Community Choice Power Supply Program  – Go Green!

1. Check your electricity bill to see if you are enrolled in Williamstown Community Choice.

Under “Supply Services” or SUPPLIER, if you see First Point Power (or on older bills “Dynegy”), you are enrolled!  To “opt-up” to 100% green, go to Step 3.

If your supplier is NOT First Point Power, you are not enrolled. Go to Step 2 to enroll.

2. Sign up for Williamstown Community Choice.

Go to Colonial Power’s Williamstown page and click the orange OPT-IN / OPT-OUT button. On the next page, select “OPT-IN.” Then complete the form by providing your address and account number (a 10-digit number at the top of your electric bill).

Under Product Selection, you have the option to select 100% green electricity by clicking 100% MA CLASS I RECs. You will be opting to pay roughly $0.017 more per kWh than the standard rate. For example, for a household consumption of 600kWh, you will pay an extra $10 on your monthly bill.

OR CALL First Point Power at 888-875-1711 and ask to join the Town of Williamstown’s Program. They will guide you through the quick and easy process.

3. Opt-Up to 100% Green Electricity.

Go to Colonial Power’s Williamstown page and click the orange OPT-IN / OPT-OUT button. On the next page, click “Change Product Selection.” Then fill out the form with your address and account number.

Under Product Selection, click 100% MA CLASS I RECs. You will be opting to pay roughly $0.017 more per kWh than the standard rate. For example, for a household consumption of 600kWh, you will pay an extra $10 on your monthly bill.

OR CALL First Point Power at 888-875-1711 and ask to either join the Town of Williamstown’s Program or switch your current product.

Colonial Power Group is Williamstown’s energy broker and changes can be made through their website. For all of the above options, have your National Grid bill handy in order to provide some required information. Please note that enrollment changes may take one or two billing cycles before taking effect. If you are currently contracted with a third-party supplier, confirm with them that you will not incur any early termination fees or penalties for leaving their supply. You may OPT-OUT or OPT-IN to Williamstown Community Choice at any time in the future with NO CHARGE.
