Invitation to Bid – Lawn Maintenance

The Town of Williamstown, Massachusetts will receive sealed bids for Lawn Maintenance on Town properties until 1:00 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026.  All bids must be mailed to the Town of Williamstown, Town Offices at 31 North Street. The sealed envelope should be clearly marked Lawn Maintenance, Department of Public Works, Town of Williamstown, MA.

The Town of Williamstown reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, to waive any formalities in the bidding and to accept the bid considered to be in the best interest of the Town.  Failure to submit all information may disqualify the bid.

Location

Mohican Trail Multi Use Path

Description

Mowing is to be done on a weekly schedule and trimming to be done on a bi-weekly schedule.  This includes along the entire length of the trail, around any kiosks or benches, and also the parking area on Syndicate Road. All clearing (blowing off) of trail must be completed by contractor. Signs will be provided by the Town.

Duration

First week of July 2026 through the last week of June 2027.   

Site Visit

A site tour will be given on Tuesday, May 5 at 1:00 PM starting at Syndicate Road Parking lot.  All sites needing lawn maintenance will be visited this one time only prior to the May 8 bid opening.  Please call Barbara Columbus, Public Works Office Manager (413) 597-8366 to schedule a place on this tour of locations.
