Route 7 Sidewalk Work Begins – Expect Traffic Delays
Starting the week of Monday, September 28, MassDOT will replace the asphalt sidewalk on the west side of Route 7 with new concrete, from Bulkley Street south to Jerome Drive. Southbound lane may be closed at times. Expect flaggers directing traffic, and please slow down through the work zone.
Pedestrians should follow posted detours while work is underway.
Crews will remove the old asphalt, dig down eight inches, fill with gravel, then form and pour the new concrete. The project is expected to take about two weeks.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend a public information session on Tuesday, October 20, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Milne Public Library.
