  • Article 1 – This vote took place at the Annual Town Election on May 12, 2026. See the election results.
  • Articles 2 through 15 passed by a voice vote.
  • The Amendment to Article 16 – To increase the Mount Greylock Regional School District budget by $120,000, so that the total is $16,963,270. This amendment passed by electronic clicker vote: Yes 233; No 102.
  • Articles 16 and 17 passed by a voice vote.
  • Article 18 – Citizen Petition – To Ban Second Generation Anticoagulant Rodenticides (SGARs) passed by electronic clicker vote: Yes 268; No 35.
  • Article 19 – Citizen Petition – To Prohibit the Land Application of Sewage Sludge Derived Materials passed by electronic clicker vote: Yes 235; No 57.
  • Article 20 – Citizen Petition – Reduction of Single Use Bags passed by electronic clicker vote: Yes 167; No 105.
  • Article 21 – Print Fee – Digital Notices for the Town of Williamstown did not pass by electronic clicker vote: Yes 123; No 126.
  • Articles 22 through 26 passed by a voice vote.
  • Article 27 – Community Preservation – Recreation (Sand Springs Pool) passed by electronic clicker vote: Yes 190; No 48.
  • Article 28 passed by voice vote.
  • Article 29 – Community Preservation – Recreation (Skatepark) passed by electronic clicker vote: Yes 131; No 77.
  • Articles 30 through 32 passed by voice vote.

Williamstown Voters Establish an Agricultural Preservation Fund

This is believed to be the first Agricultural Preservation Fund established by an Agricultural Commission under MGL Ch. 40, Sec. 8L (2016), which empowers Agricultural Commissions to play a role in protecting farms and farmland through grants, municipal appropriations, donations or farm lease income to be used to purchase farmland or conservation restrictions, pay local matches on Agricultural Preservation Restrictions, farmland planning, appraisals, due diligence, and other related purposes.

Thomas Street Water Main Replacement

PARKING UPDATE (August 10, 2026): Thomas Street residents no longer need to move their vehicles to the First Baptist Church lot. If vehicle access or relocation becomes necessary, the Water Department will contact affected residents on an as-needed basis until further notice.

The Communities of Adams, Lanesborough, North Adams, and Williamstown are seeking up to six Community Liaisons to join a regional planning effort focused on preparing Northern Berkshire for future challenges, including flooding, extreme heat, severe storms, and other climate-related impacts.
