Vote by Mail Application Postcards Sent

The second round of vote by mail application postcards will be delivered to mailboxes very soon. The postcards were sent in accordance with Massachusetts law: The Secretary of Commonwealth’s Office is required to send this second round of postcard applications.

If you do not receive a postcard, it means you already requested a mail in ballot for the November 3rd General Election and are all set.

Your mail-in application must reach your local election officials by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27, the 5th business day before the election. No matter when the application is postmarked, your application must be at the local election office (Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall, 31 North Street, Williamstown) by the deadline.

Apply as early as possible, especially if your ballot will need to be mailed out of town. The Postal Service recommends allowing up to 7 days for mail delivery.

To ensure that you receive your ballot with enough time to mail it back, you should apply 2-3 weeks before Election Day.
