Current conditions: Smoke from wildfires to the north and west is affecting air quality in the northern Berkshires. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is currently above 100 — Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.

  • Children and teens
  • Senior citizens
  • Adults with heart or lung disease

What to do

  • Limit time outdoors when possible
  • Avoid strenuous outdoor activity
  • Watch for symptoms of exposure, including:
    • Headaches
    • Burning eyes
    • Irritated throat or coughing
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Chest pain or asthma attacks

If you experience these symptoms, move indoors and seek medical attention if they persist or worsen.
