West Main Street Bridge Project
The Main Street bridge over Hemlock Brook has been reconstructed by MassDOT and was re-opened to traffic in late 2025. In the Spring, plantings will be installed, and some minor items will be buttoned up. Current completion date is May 20, 2026.
Five Corners Rotary
This MassDOT project converted the stop-controlled intersection of Route 7 and Route 43 to a roundabout. Much of the work on this project was completed in 2025. In 2026 work will continue in surface course paving, new roadway markings, final signage, and all landscaping work. Current completion date is November 2026.
Broad Brook Dam Removal
Broad Brook Dam is on North Adams property located on the north side of Williamstown at the Vermont state line. Dams are a major barrier to brook trout, a fish native to New England that populates the Hoosic River. The removal is scheduled for this summer and will be funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Fish Passage Program.

Purple Valley Trail Alliance, a local nonprofit organization, is planning to build a world-class skatepark on Town-owned land along the Mohican Shared Use Path near Cole Field.
Williams College Museum of Art
Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA) is building a new museum on the rotary around Field Park where Routes 2 and 7 intersect.
